§ 1
Accessible places to stay
Hosts list what makes the place accessible, for example step-free entry, everything on one floor, wide doors, a level-entry shower and parking close to the entrance. These may only be listed when they are true, and the photos should show what it looks like.
If something matters to you, ask the host in the messages before you book. The answer stays in the booking, so it can be shown later.
§ 2
Guide and assistance dogs
A guide dog or an assistance dog is an aid, not a pet. It is always welcome, including at places where pets are not allowed.
- You do not need to add a pet in the search for your guide or assistance dog, and it does not show as a pet in the booking.
- The host may not refuse the booking or the stay because of the dog, and may not charge a pet fee or an extra cleaning fee for it.
- It helps to tell the host in advance that a guide or assistance dog is coming, so that the place can be prepared.
- The dog wears its harness or jacket when working. The host may ask whether it is a guide or assistance dog, but may not demand a certificate or ask about your disability.
- As for every guest, the house rules otherwise apply, and you are responsible for any damage caused by you or the dog.
Refusing a person with a guide or assistance dog can be discrimination under Swedish discrimination law (lack of accessibility or indirect discrimination). Get in touch if it happens: we will help you and can also report it to the Equality Ombudsman.
§ 3
Emotional support animals
An emotional support animal counts as a pet here, unless it is a trained assistance dog. Add a pet in the search to see only places where animals are welcome; the pet rules in the listing apply.
§ 4
Allergies
If the host or another guest has an allergy, we solve it together, never by simply refusing. If it cannot be solved at the place, we help you find another one, and you get back everything you paid for the first.
§ 5
If something is not right
If the place does not match what was said about accessibility, or you are refused with your guide or assistance dog, contact us through the contact page or in the booking. We can cancel with a full refund and help you find another place. A host who refuses a guide or assistance dog may have the listing paused.
§ 6
Accessibility of this site
We build the site to work with keyboard, screen readers, zoom and reduced motion, aiming to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA. If you find something that does not work, write to us through the contact page and we will fix it.
